Rehearsal Ensemble:  United States Air Force Band of the West from Joint Base Lackland

Any Texas Bandmaster Association attendee is welcome to sit in and observe the workshop at no additional charge.

Ten (10) participants will be chosen to have two 15-minute conducting/rehearsing sessions with the United States Air Force Band of the West while receiving coaching and feedback from clinicians Steve Peterson and Caroline Beatty.

If selected there will be an additional $100 to participate in the workshop.  

Sessions will take place July 16, 2026 in the Starlight room from 10:00am-5:00pm.  You must be registered for the 2026 Texas Bandmasters Association Convention to participate in the workshop.  Deadline is June 1st.  Click to register for TBA: https://texasbandmasters.org/band-director-registration-2025/

After provided input from participating conductors, each participant will select two contrasting selections from the following pieces:

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their sessions and have lunch (provided) with Steve Peterson and Caroline Beatty.

Please make sure to upload a recording or a video of you conducing your ensemble when you register..  

Participants will be selected by our clincians.
